Limu is the region you discover after Yirgacheffe and Sidama. Less famous, but rewarded with balance: a clean, winey cup that reads beautifully on filter brewers.
A short history
Located in the Jimma Zone of southwestern Ethiopia, Limu sits in a humid forest belt where coffee grows under shade — much of it indistinguishable from wild Arabica. The Limu Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union represents thousands of producers.
What buyers say about Limu
"Limu is the under-priced gem of the Ethiopian harvest. Our customers don't ask for it by name yet, but they keep coming back for it."— Director, Melbourne roastery
